Ton van Herwaarde (1967) is a self-taught artist based in Tilburg, The Netherlands. His artistic abilities were inspired at a very young age by artists like Johannes Vermeer, Frans Hals and Rembrandt van rijn, the three Dutch old masters. At a later stage in hist artistic life he got influenced by Hajime Sorayama, a Japanese master in realistic drawing skills. This four artists Ton considers as his teachers in art, by studying their techniques over and over again.
12/31/2014: Ton invents his own technique, reflected paintings. Handpainted artworks that are custom made on a surface of sheet aluminum and painted with ink.
